Self-Worth with Jaclyn Steele

Life wants to give you what you want

Jaclyn Steele Season 4 Episode 155

Surrendering to the fact that we are not in control is one of the keys to our freedom and the healing of our minds.  We may not always understand.  I ask God for clarity all the time.  We may not like what is happening. That's ok, too.  But I know this... there is something much bigger at play here and it wants to give us what we want.  Which in the end, is the fullest expression of our lives.  And in order to have the fullest expression, we must have a lot of experiences... some brutal and some absolutely fantastic.

Jaclyn Steele:

Hi everyone, and happy Wednesday to you. If you listen to last week's episode entitled loss, grief and act of surrender, then you will know I'm moving through a period of grief right now, after unexpectedly losing my beloved dog of 12 years Pippin. I decided weeks before losing her that April, would be all about surrender. I guess I just didn't know how much Oh, man. Before I get into today's content, though, which is really quite uplifting and juicy. Despite the grief that I'm walking through, I have a couple of business items to share. If you haven't signed up for my newsletter, the scoop comes out once a month, it's the first Wednesday of the month. And there's a downloadable PDF in there, that's beautiful. That is meant to accompany the work that we do every Wednesday of every week of the month. It's got the theme, it's got questions for you. It's got the book of the month, things to think about the ritual of the month. And so if you want to participate in that, I would love to have you it's free. And I also include a bunch of links to some really high vibe products that have elevated my life that are specific to my community for you guys. So if you want to be a part of that, you can go to Jaclyn steele.com, there's a bunch of links in there that you can sign up or you can sign up in the show notes below. You are also invited to join my text community, which has grown enormously this year, my gosh, I send out text sporadically and they are meant to increase your frequency in that moment. Think of them like healthy little espresso shots that I trust reach you in divine timing. And you can opt in for these free text messages by texting 480-531-6858 and typing the word sacred as a C R Ed. And once you are opted in, you will receive these high vibe nuggets directly from me. And I have had some really cool conversations with you guys in those texts to individually. Lastly, if you've been enjoying this podcast, please leave a review for it wherever you are listening to it reviews are kind of everything in the podcast world. I want to read something to you guys from Deb Mullins. And this isn't a review on Apple podcasts or Spotify. But it is something that she texted me that just really, really made my day. And she said, your podcasts are so informative and relatable. I'm a psychotherapist and always looking for new ways to remind myself of old information and add new info to my own journey. I'm really enjoying your podcasts. And I have referred several of my clients to also listen and follow you. Deb Mullins, I'm sending you the biggest hug right now. Thank you for this feedback. I cannot tell you how encouraging it is. I love reading these comments from you guys. I love reading these reviews, they just they give me so much juice to keep going. Okay, so today's episode is called Life wants to give you what you want. This could have several meanings. But the one I'm aiming to clarify is this. Life is another word for God. So God gives wants to give you what you want. And God has more to give us and wants to give us more than we could ever, ever take. Another way of putting this is from the book The Science of Getting Rich by Wallace Wattles. And he writes, Substance is friendly to you and is more anxious to give you what you want than you are to get it. As a side note, I'm sitting outside. It's a beautiful day, I just need the comfort of nature. And so if you're hearing birds chirping or anything like that, it's because I'm enjoying the sunshine. Anyway, the idea I'm trying to convey is that we are divinely supported. We are divinely supported always. But we will experience this divine support more readily if we get out of our own way. And you guessed it, surrender to it. The book of the month in April is the surrender experiment by Michael a singer and in it he writes, am I better off making up an alternate reality in my mind and then fighting with reality to make it be my way? Or am I better off letting go of what I want and serving the same forces of reality that managed to create the entire perfection of the universe around me. I get it. Realizing we are not all powerful is humbling. I was reminded of it maybe more than ever when had been disappeared in the blink of an eye. I felt helpless. I wanted to rail against reality, I didn't want to believe it was true. I wanted my way and my way being having my precious dog back. But we all know. In this three dimensional world, life doesn't exactly work like that this episode of self worth is powered by conscious copper. Since having my son Roman, I've been a little obsessive about EMF radiation, because I did research on what that radiation does to our bodies, and especially those of infants. This EMF radiation seems to be coming at us from everywhere, our cell phones, electronic devices, 5g and then Wi Fi in general, our bodies simply are not equipped to deal with this constant onslaught of radiation. To combat this, I found conscious copper, I did a lot of online research, and I bought several of their products and fell so in love with them that I reached out to conscious copper and asked to become an affiliate. There beam technology, which is trademarked, is based on a bio energetic approach to health. It features dual level technology that offers effective protection from the damaging effects of EMF radiation, and it provides support for the body's health. When you're wearing one of these devices, or near one of these devices. The first level of action harmonizes the negative energetic frequencies of the electromagnetic radiation. The second level of action supports the cells in your body as they are stressed by the radiation, bringing their energy to an optimal level for good health. The beam technology operates at the subatomic level so it does not block or alter the actual electromagnetic frequencies, allowing your electronic devices to still operate normally. I have conscious coppers quantum EMF necklace, unlike so many other EMF mitigating wearables, this one is simple and beautiful and made of copper. It's also considerably more affordable than other EMF necklaces, it's only 68 bucks, and the price goes down. If you buy multiples, I have one, Sam has one and we have one for Roman when he's old enough to wear it. I also have their ripple cellphone EMF defense, it plugs into your cell phone where the charger input is. And I literally use this every minute that my phone is not on the charger. I've noticed a difference in using both of these. It's wild, but there is a sense of calm that they carry because I'm not being bombarded with EMF radiation. I also feel so good knowing that I am mitigating the amount of EMF radiation that is coming into contact with my young, growing sun. Conscious copper also has rings, bracelets, and home EMF mitigating devices, you will love these products to purchase go to conscious copper.com and use code steel 10 s t e l e 10 for 10% off your order. Again, that's code steel 10 for 10% off your order, all links and discount codes are in the show notes. So, so we can rail against it, though, personally, I've never won that battle. Or we can choose to trust it. Choose to serve the same forces of reality that managed to create the entire perfection of the universe around us. It's like a trust fall with God. And it's really, really hard at first because our egos hold on so tight, telling us we have control. And if we only try hard enough or work hard enough for our good enough, we will be able to create the reality we want. Our egos don't lead us anywhere good though, unless we allow them to lead us to the shadowy parts of ourselves. That that's why I liken surrender to a trust fall with God. It's an active choice. One where you say I believe wholeheartedly that you know what is best for me. And for the highest good of all. I choose to hand you the reins of my life and move with the current you are taking me in. This isn't easy, though it does get easier with time because you realize this actually is the best way to live. But I get it it's not easy. For instance, losing someone or something you love deeply and then surrendering to God and saying I trust you. It's really hard. It's hard To say I trust in your plan for me, it can be the hardest thing ever. Every cell in our physical bodies wants to get out of pain. When we are feeling it. We don't want to feel the pain of loss. And it's okay if you can't surrender in the moment, or even that day or week or month or year. God doesn't keep time. However, the sooner you do surrender, the sooner you will feel relief. Now I'll be honest, I'm dealing with the loss of my dog differently than I have dealt with any other loss. I normally would throw myself into school or work or a project and my ego would flare up and say, I'll show everyone I'm okay. I'm strong. I'm not going to let anyone know I'm hurting. I'm tough. But this time around. With this loss, it feels different. I think I just no more, I've experienced more. And I didn't feel the need to let my ego take the lead. I instead, let my healing heart do so. I vulnerably reached out to my friends and I asked for their prayers. I told my women's group I was really struggling. I told my husband that I wanted him to take a day off of work because I needed him and wanted to go to the movies. I even asked you guys in last week's episode to pray for me and my family as we navigate this. I've never really vocally shared my heartbreak as it's happening. I've been vulnerable and sharing stories of things that have happened after I've processed them and button them up and told them in a way that I feel comfortable with. But I've never done it like this. I've always mourned and seclusion and put on a brave face for the world. I just don't want to do that anymore. I want to live full out and I want to live wholeheartedly and I don't want to be contained. And I don't want to put my grief in a container. I want to grieve and grieve for as long as I need to. So then I can celebrate her life and feel so grateful that I got to spend 12 beautiful years with her. But I can't get to the celebration part. And the gratitude part if I don't walk through the grief, or maybe it's all in one cauldron just brewing together. And sometimes I can feel the grief and sometimes I feel the gratitude and sometimes I feel the celebration, but I have to feel all of it in order to process it truly. So I'm feeling it. I'm letting myself feel all of it. And it's painful. It's a cacophony of emotions yet. Feeling them is easier than trying to numb them or stuff them down. What I'm trying to say here is, I'm surrendering to the pain right now. I'm not a victim to it. I'm not berating myself or feeling sorry for myself. I'm just allowing myself to feel the shock, anger, the sorrow, the missing of her little growl and pitter patter and scratching on the door to get into wherever I am. I'm allowing myself to feel those feelings in the moment that I'm feeling them. And I'm also moving my body and writing and that is also helping me process this Today's episode is powered by the golden secrets. I just know it I think some of you may really relate to what I'm about to say next. I historically intellectualized pain and grief and sorrow. I focus on understanding why something happened, and then how to file it away neatly in my brain in a way that allows me to move forward with as much peace and understanding as possible. And this isn't a bad approach. And I think for a long time, it really served me. But the problem is, this approach doesn't leave room for feeling the feelings. This approach of intellectualizing the feelings does just that it intellectualize is them. And pain and grief are tricky. They come in waves, and sometimes they make logical sense. And sometimes they really don't get our subconscious is I'm very certain trying to work out all the kinks we are carrying. That's why the subconscious brings these things to the surface. And if we don't get them out, we are bound to keep feeling them. And then those difficult feelings will get lodged in our bodies. We all know what trauma in the body feels like. So what I'm saying here is surrendering may seem like it's the harder approach to healing. But it's actually a lot easier than trying to control how you feel or to control your circumstances. Surrendering allows the Holy Spirit or spirit or the universe, or however you want to label what cannot truly be labeled. Surrendering allows this force to come in and do the real work of cleaning things up in a way that our sweet human selves never, ever could. Now I want to go back to today's title, life wants to give you what you want. Michael singer says, was it possible that life had more to give us than we could ever take for ourselves? And the answer is yes, absolutely. Yes. And it may appear at times that things are taken from us, like my dog was taken from me. But what if we surrender to the idea that there is a much bigger purpose and plan at work and while it may at times feel painful, that the end result will be mind blowing in its beauty. So far, we've talked this year about being unstoppable and how we are capable of pretty much anything. And we've talked about being back in our bodies because it's key to feeling grounded and listening to what our intelligent bodies are saying. And now we are talking about surrender because even though we are quite powerful and connected and in tune, we still don't get to control everything. And when we surrender to the idea that we are not in control Oh, it creates outrageous growth and opportunity. Though I am in pain right now, I have experienced this outrageous growth and opportunity. things happening that I have been dreaming of a nice things may not happen on your timeline or my timeline, but surrender to the idea that they happen on the perfect timeline for your life experience. I know this to be true in my heart of hearts, and my soul, pain, loss, grief. These can be some of our greatest teachers. If we allow them to teach us, and happiness and laughter and joy, these can also be some of our greatest teachers if we allow them to teach us and surrendering to the fact that we are not in control is one of the keys to our freedom and the healing of our minds. We may not always understand. I ask God for clarity all the time. And we may not like what is happening. That's okay, too. But I know this, there is something much bigger at play here. And it wants to give us what we want. Which in the end is the fullest expression of our lives. And in order to have the fullest expression. We must have a lot of experiences, some brutal and some absolutely fantastic. Life, God Spirit creation. It's all for you. It's for you. The question I want to end with today is what would it feel like to truly believe that? How would your life change? How would this very moment change?
